December 14th, 2015 – Rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets made following the finest craft techniques are the best expression of fine jewelry made in Italy. This, and much more is on display in Belgrade. The Italian Institute of Culture of the city (located in Kneza Miloša 56), in collaboration with the Foundation Cologni for arts and crafts of Milan and the Museum of the Bijou of Casalmaggiore, has organized the exhibition “Wearing beauty. Great Italian jewelry.” The showcase is dedicated to the production of costume jewelry, one of the fields that most stand out for Italian creativity and taste. Bianca Cappello, historian and professor at the European Institute of Design in Milan, curated the exhibition, making sure that the jewelry on display tells the story of a productive activity rooted in the aesthetic sensibility and refinement typical of a country that is the epitome of beauty, natural and artistic. “Wearing Beauty” was inaugurated on Friday at the headquarters of the Italian Institute of Culture, and will remain open until Tuesday, February 2.
