St. Petersburg – The Director of the Uffizi Eike Schmidt, in the presence of Minister of Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism Dario Franceschini, inaugurated the exhibition ‘Noli Me Tangere’ by Federico Barocci at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. During the opening ceremony, the Director of the Hermitage, Mikhail Piotrovsky, used strong words of appreciation towards the reform of Italian museums. “Very important things are happening in Italian museums – said Piotrovsky – and the Franceschini reform is revolutionizing the Italian museum system, providing a very interesting model.” (9Colonne)
