28 December, 2015 – “Awareness. Dieci giorni con Jerzy Grotowski” is a book by Gabriele Vacis. In 1991 director Jerzy Grotowski held a 10-day workshop in Turin, organized by Vacis (also founder of the Laboratorio Teatro Settimo). The result of the event was that Vacis got the opportunity to discover the “public” Grotowski and the “private” one. The encounter is now detailed in a book, Awareness, in which Vacis moves from the words of the Polish director to pieces of work journals from the Teatro Settimo. In the book, the author brings forth his considerations on the director and actor, and his sense of making theater. The book will be presented in Krakow on January 20 at 7pm at the Italian Cultural Institute, which organized the event in collaboration with the publisher Pasaże.
