(13 January, 2016) 2016 was already set out to be a special year for the Ferretti Group brand, which celebrates its 20th anniversary. But Custom Line brought home an early success, thanks to its Navetta 28, the extraordinary maxi yacht that triumphed at the “Motor Boat Awards,” organized by IPC Media, a publishing house that curates some of the best known European magazines in the industry. The award was presented to the Italian maxi yacht during a gala dinner on January 11 at the Rosewood Hotel in London, in conjunction with the 62nd edition of the “London Boat Show”, which will run until 17 January and that sees the Ferretti Group present alongside its exclusive dealer Ventura UK. Custom Line Navetta 28 won in the category “Custom Yacht”, competing against some of the main innovations presented by leading international shipyards in recent months. The prize is thus of great value, confirmed by the fact that each yacht, in order to enter the “finalists short list” and win, is professionally tested by experienced journalists of the British publishing house. “We’re very happy to start the new year with such a recognition, – commented Stefano De Vivo, Chief Commercial Officer of the Ferretti Group – both because we got it in Britain, homeland to many of our major competitors, a country of great nautical tradition and culture, and because it was awarded by a jury of professionals who choose a winner after extensive trials, taking into account technical choices, aesthetics and innovation. This victory also confirms the effectiveness of a design and construction strategy that Custom Line has adopted in recent years, turning it in one of the most successful brands on international markets.” Custom Line Navetta 28 continues down an extraordinary path, after the debut at the Yachting Cannes Festival in 2014.
