Auschwitz – It has become a tradition, that of the Journey of Remembrance, organized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research in collaboration with the Union of Italian Jewish Communities (UCEI). It’s a journey to commemorate the anniversary of the Auschwitz-Birkenau liberation, and to allow Italian students who have distinguished themselves in projects related to the Holocaust to participate in a unique learning experience: learn a history lesson directly from the people who lived it. On January 18-19, Minister Stefania Giannini and the President of the Chamber Laura Boldrini, with UCEI President Renzo Gattegna will fly to Poland with 130 high school teachers and students. Once again, Sami Modiano and Andra and Tatiana Bucci, survived the death camp, will give their testimony. (9Colonne)
