(22 January 2016) The exhibition “Helpful graphics. Posters of public utility in Italy” will be inaugurated on Monday, January 25 at the Italian Cultural Institute of Strasbourg. The display, which showcases the posters produced by Italy’s national institutions and local authorities between 1975 and 1990, is curated by Professor Luciano Cheles from the University of Grenoble. Environment, health, peace, culture and civic life: the posters, of extraordinary aesthetic originality, were made by local graphics and provide an illustration of the events, interests and aspirations that shook Italy during those years. The inauguration of the exhibition (open until February 26) features two conferences in French: the first by Cheles on “Design et qualité de vie. Les affiches d’utilité publique en Italie” and the second on “L’évolution de l’échiquier politique italien 1975-2015” by b Professor Joseph Cadeddu, professor at the University of Lorraine. (Sip)
