(27 January 2016) “Contemporary art and the sacred” is a fascinating topic, one that will be amply discussed in the meeting scheduled on February 15 in Shkodra, with Monsignor Liborio Palmeri, director of the DiArt San Rocco Museum for Contemporary Art of Trapani. The meeting, to be held at the Art House, a space dedicated to art meetings promoted by Adrian Paci, Albanian artist living in Milan, and is organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana. Monsignor Palmeri was born in Trapani in 1963, where he lives and exercises his activities. He studied Sacred Theology at the Theological Department of Sicily and has a degree in Classics with a thesis on 20th century art. Palmeri was Dean of the Trapani Episcopal Seminary and vicar general of the Diocese in the Sicilian city. He is currently episcopal delegate for Research, the Arts and Cultural Dialogue (Project Axis), director of the DiArt San Rocco Museum, the Diocesan Library and the Diocesan Archive. He is also Director of the Diocesan Office of Education, the School and the University, and President of the Pasqua2000 Foundation. (Red)
