Shiraz – Saipem signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a possible collaboration on major projects related to pipelines in Iran. The MoU, signed with the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), provides for the opening of negotiations on a possible collaboration with Saipem on projects relating to NIGC pipelines, including IGAT9 and IGAT11, of 1800 km in length. Saipem also signed another MoU on 25 January, with Parsian Oil & Gas Development for the start of negotiations on a possible collaboration in the renovation and upgrading of the Pars Shiraz and Tabriz refineries. These preliminary agreements are not binding and therefore do not result in any increase in the backlog for the Italian company. (9Colonne)
