erlin – Italian pots, pans, cutlery, and plates are increasingly popular abroad, reveal the latest figures published by the Research Department of Anima on the occasion of the Homi Milan fair. In 2015, companies in the industry reached €562 million of turnover, with exports accounting for 65% of the total turnover and amounting to €858 million in 2015. “Our products are very similar to works of artisanal design – says Andrea Barazzoni, President of FIAC, the federation that protects Italian manufacturers of household items, an industry that counts about 3.900 workers – We are large-scale artisans who make continuous investments in research (in 2015 the R&D departments saw a + 4.5% increase in investments). The beauty of our products is not only external but is indicative of the care and studies that constitute them. This uniqueness doesn’t go unnoticed. Exports, in fact, have resumed after last year’s setback. Our products have always been appreciated abroad for their quality and design, as demonstrated in the rise in demand from the United Statesa market that for us grew by 54%. Our main destination countries however are in Europe: Germany, France and Spain. But we always need to further widen our horizons, looking beyond Europe. ” (9Colonne)
