(9 February 2015) Fantasy, creativity, dream, and unconsciousness. Gabriele Sisti brings it all out. “In this new solo exhibition, Gabriele Sisti decides to leave the world of traditional photography and explore new possibilities of expression through the technique of juxtaposition, in which he combines two or more images, his own or by other artists, to create new personal narratives of surrealism.” With these words, Diana Di Nuzzo explains “Daily Archive” photo exhibition that the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona (Ptge. Méndez Vigo, 5) will host from Thursday, February 11 to Friday, March 4. The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday at 7pm. The exhibition – organized by the Institute – is co-produced by the artist protection platform Patamu.com. Sisti’s photographs are surrealist thanks to a juxtaposition of two or more images, which the artist combines to create new kinds of personal narratives. The photomontages – explains the Institute – are made from an image that the artist defines “basic”, with an addition of other parts of photographs, the so-called “annexes”. (Red)
