Bangkok – The National Research Council (CNR) and Shinawatra University (SIU) signed a joint cooperation agreement in the fields of agriculture, food, environment, social sciences, technologies and cultural heritage. The signing took place in Bangkok, at the headquarters of the University, in the presence of Francesco Saverio Nisio, Italian Ambassador to Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra, the former Thai Prime Minister, and Stefano Leandri and Carlo Gradella, respectively President and CEO in Bangkok of the Gl Group. The Group is a leader in the IT sector, and stands as a strong partner of the CNR in Italy and abroad. The agreement was first negotiated in Italy back in 2013 when the then-Prime Minister visited the country for the 145th anniversary since the start of Italian-Thai diplomatic relations. The agreement will see the CNR and SIU cooperate in the smart cities sector and in IT, to achieve tangible business results through enterprise development. (9Colonne)
