Frankfurt – Hesse is the leading region in Germany for the biotechnology industry, with 225 active companies in the territory, for a total of 19,500 employees and a turnover of around €5.2 billion. The business fabric is composed for 40% of small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 10 employees; 14% of companies have more than 500 employees, providing the most important contribution to employment. Given the premises, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany (Itkam) will host 8-10 March in Frankfurt a delegation representing Campania’s biotechnology industry. The project, conducted in collaboration with Assocamerestero and BioCam S.c.a.r.l. aims to encourage the creation of new contacts and cooperation between Campania companies with their German counterparts settled in Frankfurt and the Rhein-Main region. The program will provide for a panel discussion, visits to companies and research centers, and networking occasions. (9Colonne)
