Lyon – The Neapolitan factory Luciano Stella – currently producing the animated film “Gatta Cenerentola” directed by Ivan Cappiello, Marino Guarnieri, Alessandro Rak and Dario Sansone – has been nominated in the category for ‘Best European Producer of the Year’ in 18th edition of Cartoon Movie Lyon. The most anticipated professional event of the sector in Europe will take by storm the French city on 2-5 March 2016 welcoming more than 800 operators. Mad competes along with two international animation giants in the same competition that over the years awarded its top prize to the BBC, the French animation giant Mediatoon, the Irish Oscar nominees for Song of the Sea and the Belgians behind Asterix. “We’ve already won – exclaimed Stella – It’s already extraordinary to be in Cartoon Movie, and now comes this incredible nomination that rewards us for what we have already achieved and for our future projects and those already in the works. We’re proud that such an authoritative Forum has recognized the strength, quality and style of the factory. As was the case for the European Film Awards, it is a great recognition for our young talents.” (9Colonne)
