Monaco – The Brenner needs to represent a “cultural bridge” rather than a new barrier: this is the underlying message of the project launched by ANPI, the National Association of Italian Partisans, the Rosa Bianca Association and their German counterparts. The initiative will bring to Munich on February 29 21 high school students from Cavalese (Trento) from Rosa Bianca / Weisse Rose High School, named after the anti-Nazi organization created by German students and their teachers shut down on February 1943 by the Hitler regime. The initiative is part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Trentino ANPI and the Autonomous Province of Trento signed on April 25. The MoU aims to create a lasting bond between the high school students of the Fiemme Valley and those of the Dante Alighieri of Munich, as well as engage, as early as next year, talian and German schools in Bolzano and Innsbruck. During the journey, Trentino students will also visit the Dachau concentration camp, and will present a show centered on a flyer created by the White Rose, which cost the lives of its members, speaking of wars, racism, intolerance, and terrorism.
