(26 February 2016) A new roadshow will soon bring Italian accountants across Italy. Their goal?Strengthening the skills and enhancing the role of accountant as a global business consultant, increasing the number of enterprises, in particular SMEs, operating in foreign markets, supporting the attraction of foreign investment in Italy and policies to promote growth, reinforcing the Italian economy through regulatory simplification. Accountants are mobilizing for the internationalization of Italian SMEs in a program presented in the Senate that will start from Bologna in March and will end in November in Rome, passing by Brescia, Verona, Florence, Perugia, Caserta, Bari, Palermo and Catanzaro. The initiative was launched by the Democratic Party senator elected abroad Francesco Giacobbe, “to overcome the great limit of resource waste: allocating resources for the internationalization of SMEs, based on the obtained results, in other words down-streaming the process, could contribute to an effective use of public resources and to the creation of new jobs and thus the development of the Italian economy”. The accountants’ roadshow for the internationalization of Italian SMEs, according to Claudio Micheloni, “is not a point of arrival but rather of departure, representing a part of Italy that manages to promote itself abroad despite Italian institutions because it guarantees the Italy conquers and maintains the position it deserves in the world.” (Red)
