(16 March 2016) For years he has been narrating moods and ideas, dreams and melancholy, traveling between Rome and Paris, exploring art and design. Roberto Di Costanzo, a portraitist, illustrator and painter, has been chosen to represent Italy at the Paris Book Fair (March 17-20). “It’s a wonderful opportunity – commented the artist – to meet the public that appreciates my graphic suggestions. It will be a further moment to witness the excellence of Made in Italy blossoming abroad.” Di Costanzo’s French bond was born four years ago thanks to the publishing house Editions Nomades: after the release of his first illustrated book on Rome, the artist was noted by Maestro Pierre Cardin and Di Costanzo’s works were exhibited in Cardin’s Paris Foundation. Di Costanzo then presented to the French public a book about Paris, illustrated in a visionary manner, and later exhibited at the Espace Cardin in Paris and at the Italian Institute of French Culture (Centre Saint Louis). The interest of the French public for drawings bring Di Costanzo great success, culminated in his latest exhibition, held last December at Galerie Valence. (Red)
