(18 March 2016) The diplomatic profession, to the eyes of many, seems dated and tied to long-lost negotiation styles among governments. However, the job of the diplomat in the 21st century runs in step with the times, having to deal with interdisciplinary, speed and communication skills. The conference “Diplomacy and communications in today’s Europe” will Pietro Benassi, Italian Ambassador in Germany, discuss all this during a meeting organized by the University of Urbino Carlo Bo Department of Communication Sciences, Humanities and International Studies: History, Culture, Languages, Literature, Arts, Media (Discui). The meeting, open to discussion with students and teachers and the public, is scheduled for Monday, March 21 at 11am in the Aula Magna of the Department. The event is part of the cycle of conferences “A certain idea of Europe”, dedicated to Germany’s intercultural relations. (Sip)
