(29 March 2016) The geographical proximity between Munich and Italy, the high quality of life and the presence on the territory great research centers, have led in recent years a growing number of Italian researchers to move to what is called “the northernmost city in Italy”. This is why today takes place the first official conference of Italian researchers who live and work in Munich, to be held Wednesday, April 27 (7pm) at the Italian Cultural Institute. The event is promoted by the Institute (with the collaboration of the Forum Italia eV), the International Association of Italian researchers (Airicerca), under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Munich. Consul Renato Cianfarani will speak at the opening of the conference, which will feature the following speakers: Elisa Romanelli (PhD), Ulrich Pekelsen (PhD) and Leone Rossetti (PhD). “The main goal of the conference – explains the presentation statement – is to increase the network of connections, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among researchers. Second, the event aims to highlight the excellence of Italian researchers in Germany. Airicerca, a nonprofit organization that connects over 14,000 researchers worldwide, has three objectives: the promotion of the researcher profession and its indispensable role in society; networking among Italian researchers in Italy and worldwide, through the organization of meetings and debated; and the dissemination among a non-specialist audience of knowledge from the research community.” (Red)
