This year, the spotlights are going to be on italian food and wine industry, thanks to the presence of 36 firms and groups that will showcase their goods in un area over 400 m2 wide, placed in the international pavillion. Area Italia is going to be a real window of our national food and wine excellence, with a wide variety of products like pasta, deli meats, cheese and dairies, preserves, baked products, liquors, wines, coffees and sweets. In particular, visitors will be able to know some regional specialties like toma piemontese DOP, Modena’s aromatic vinegar, Piacenza’s salami DOP and buffalos mozzarella cheese from Campania., just to name a few. This important italian presence in Alimentaria 2016 has proven possible thanks to the joint efforts of principal operators responsible for the internationalization of italian firms in Spain. The project is in fact due to the collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spain (CCIS), the ICE office in Madrid and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce (CCIB), and it can count on insitutional support of the italian Embassy in Spain.
