Valletta – Thursday, April the 7th at 6 PM at the hall of the Italian Culture Institute in Valletta will open the exhibition “Mediterranean Caput Mundi: Travel between Myth and Reality”, with works by Vincenzo D’Arrò. The exhibition is a tribute, through a narration of images, to the thousand-year history and the centrality that still has the Mediterranean, intended as sea and as a vast mosaic of peoples, cultures and religions. The works of Vincenzo D’Arrò are metaphors of a journey through two dimensions, spatial and temporal. Oscillating between mythical figures and actual events, children of the Mediterranean, sailing along a boundless sea called memory. Born in 1981 in Taormina, from a Sicilian father and a Maltese mother, Vincenzo D’Arrò, in addition to being a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, is an artist with featured in important exhibitions and awarded in Italy and abroad (exhibition at the Espace Christiane Peugeot in Paris, winner of the first prize at the Malta International Art Biennale 2013).
