Washington – The United States Navy has exercised its option to purchase the eleventh LCS class “Freedom” ship, scheduled from Littoral Combat Ship program, to be delivered in 2020. The vessel will be built by Fincantieri in consortium, through Fincantieri Marinette Marine Use (Fmm), a Fincantieri subsidiary, and Lockheed. (9Colonne)
