(April 4, 2016) #pizzaUnesco arrives in Australia: the global campaign was presented recently at an event in Sydney which was attended by Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, promoter of the campaign and president of UniVerde foundation, Arturo Arcano, Consul general of Italy in Sydney, Nicola Caré, secretary of the Italo-Australian Chamber of commerce, Concetta Cirigliano Perna, president of the Italo-Australian Women national association and Giancarla Guareschi, from Dante Alighieri Society in Sydney. “The #pizzaUnesco petition supports Made In Italy – said the consul Arcano – but mostly it supports the value of the defense of a common cultural heritage to millions of Italians and descendants of Italian emigrants in all continents”. In Melbourne, Windsor, Adelaide and Sydney: many are the Neapolitan pizzerias in Australia that partecipate in the TNPA (true Neapolitan Pizza Association), which this year has decided to transfer the Pizzafestival from Naples to Melbourne, within the Food&Wine exhibition. An event that allowed to spread the true art of Neapolitan pizza outside of Italy. (Red)
