(5 April 2016) “Primo Levi in front and in profile” is the title of a book by Mark Belpoliti (Guanda), which will be the focus of a meeting organized by the Italian Institute of Culture in Madrid in collaboration with the Italian State School of the Spanish capital. The event will be held on April 22 at 11.30 at the School, for the anniversary of the Liberation of Italy (April 25) and the Noche de los Libros (April 23). Speakers at the conference will be Belpoliti and Federico Italiano, poet, essayist and expert on the figure of Levi. The author of “If This Is a Man” in the last seventy years has established itself as the witness par excellence of the Jewish extermination: his troubled life, his story of writer and intellectual, but especially his multifaceted work, complex, rich in themes, references and suggestions will be at the core of the meeting.
