Casablanca. The World Press Freedom Day 2016 took place today in Casablanca, organised by the International Journalist Federation in partnership with UNESCO. The celebration saw the participation of the Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audio-visuals (COPEAM) among other Moroccan and international entities. The secretary general, Claudio Cappon gave an opening speech reflecting on the necessity to redefine the relationship between media and citizenship and on the risks caused by disinformation brought on by the different media platforms and social media networks today.
