11 MAY 2016 – “The Italian Embassy strongly supports initiatives, such as Myanm/ART, that aim at enhancing cultural relations between our Countries and at contributing to wider people-to-people contacts between Italy and Myanmar” the Italian Ambassador in Yangon, Pier Giorgio Aliberti, stated today on the occasion of the meeting he had with the nine Myanmar artists whose artworks – selected by a qualified jury – will be displayed in the exhibition Myanm/ART at the 21’ edition of “Triennale di Milano” (from June 29th 2016 for three weeks). The initiative, curated by Prof. Mauro Salvemini and Dr. Eugenia Battisti, has been presented today at the Embassy of Italy in Yangon. The exhibition received the patronages of the Italian Embassy in Yangon, as well as of the Myanmar Embassy in Rome, the Myanmar Honorary Consulate in Turin, and the Italy-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce.
