Addis Adaba. Africa Fieragricola turns to Africa and as part of the search for new business opportunities for its exhibitors, organise and coordinate a collective participation of companies at the ninth edition of Agrifex- Specialised International Agricultural and Food Exhibition, to be held in Addis Adaba, until May 16. Within a generation, Ethiopia has transformed itself from one of the countries that was once the emblem of poverty into one of the fastest growing economies in the world. For the next three years it is expected to average an annual growth of 7% of GDP. Italy is Ethiopia’s the seventh largest trading partner; third among the European countries. Half the value of exports to Ethiopia (€264million in 2014) is generated by exports of machinery and equipment, especially for agro-food and textile sectors. (9colonne)
