Buenos Aires – “We are not here just to ‘sell’ but to resume a journey from ancient roots.” The Undersecretary for Economic Development and International Trade, Ivan Scalfarotto intervened in Buenos Aires at the Italy-Argentina Business Forum in the final event of the important business mission (approximately 140 people, 80 companies, 12 universities, Confindustria, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Simest and Sace) that took place in the Latin American country. A mission that is in the framework of intensifying bilateral meetings opened by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s and the President of the Argentine Republic Mauricio Macri’s visit to Rome. Scalfarotto underlined that, even on the basis of historical and not only economic ties between Italy and Argentina (many of the Argentinian Republic’s constituents were of Italian origin because the country has often been the destination of migratory flows from Italy), the Italian Government wants to build a strategic partnership with the Latin American country, leading to a profound reform process.
