Brussels – The president of the regional council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Franco Iacop, as part of the Committee of the Regions, participated in the second edition of the EU expansion Day in Brussels, organised by the CoR in its Rue Belliard headquarters with the aim of raising local and regional awareness to the expansion process of the European Union. Individual cases were examined regarding the West Balkans with Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo on the one hand, and on the other Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia and, in addition to this, Turkey, although, once again the European Commission does not foresee any entry for the next four years.
