Barcelona – The Catalonia GP had Valentino Rossi’s name on it, who won on the Montmeló track after a thrilling race. With Rossi’s Catalan victory he is now in third place with 103 points, 12 less than is box companion Jorge Lorenzo who in the seventh round of the season does not take anything home and loses his rainbow summit now occupied by Marc Marquez. There are signs of a détente between Rossi and Marquez with final handshake at Parc Fermè and at the press conference. The two drivers, along with Pedrosa, join in paying respects to Luis Salom, Moto2 rider who died on Friday during a race accident. “It has been a great victory, one of the best of my career,” said Rossi. “I dedicate my success to Luis Salom and his family”.
