This retrospective exhibition is curated by Inés Ortega-Márquez. For the first time, the Museum of Santiago, his native town, hosts a retrospective exhibition of the artist. On display are various works of Echaurren: some of these have recently been exhibited in Rome on the occasion of the solo exhibition titled “Contropittura” at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. The exhibition consists of more than 110 works – including paintings, drawings, collages, ceramics – from the seventies to the present, with a large documentation section. It includes his first works, small watercolors and enamels reflecting the generational myths (politics, music) and personal inclinations (natural sciences, collecting). (Red)
