Shanghai – The international Jury of the Golden Goblet Awards of the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival, was composed of Atom Egoyan, Daniele Luchetti, Abderrahmane Sissako and chaired by Emir Kusturica. The Jury attributed the Grand Prix to See you in Texas, Vito Palmieri’s first work the first work inspired “by the naturalness of writing and the truth of dialogue.” An award from the most important festival on the Asian continent assigned from a top level jury for Palmieri’s film also recently presented at Biografilm Festival which also saw the production of Ascent Film and RAI Cinema and the productive exchange between Andrea Paris and Matteo Rovere, and foreign sales handled by Fandango. Italian cinema in Shanghai was organised from the Filmitalia (Contemporary Film Promotion) of Istituto Luce Cinecittà, which counts on an almost twenty-year collaboration with the Shanghai International Film Festival and the support of the Italian Consulate, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Institute for Foreign Trade in Shanghai.
