(June 30, 2016) Italian animation takes over Japan. A conference scheduled at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo on Wednesday July 6 at 18:30. Pushed by passion and idealism, many new generation Italian artists produce animation films in unfavourable economic climates. Simone Massi, Gianluigi Toccafondo, Ursula Ferrara, Roberto Catani and many others have created high quality pieces and collect awards at international festivals (among which is the festival at Hiroshima). The ICI conference will be an opportunity to present their story and to illustrate to the public the context in which the main thematic and stylistic features were developed. (Red)
