Rome. NASA’s Juno probe has successfully completed its entry into Jupiter’s orbit shortly after 5am in Italy (Central European Summer Time). President of the National Institute of Astrophysics Nicolo D’Amico comments: ‘Another great result for Italy and the National Institute of Astrophysics who has the responsibility for Jiram, a ‘made in italy’ tool on board of the Juno mission, envisioned by the research group guided by the planetologist Angioletta Coradini, who passed away five years ago. A new fascinating chapter on Jupiter’s exploration begins in which INAF researchers will play a leading role’. (9colonne)
