(July 11,2016) In recent days in Sydney, the International Piano Competition of Australia (SIPCA) took off. It brings together many pianists from all over the world to Sydney. The competition will take place until July 23 at the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, constituting a launch platform for musicians with different nationalities, facilitating the development of their artistic career. This year, thanks to the sponsorship of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney, all the phases of the event including the Gala Concert will be available via live streaming on the Competition’s website. This competition is recognised internationally and is held every four years. It requires a high artistic standard in its pre-selection phase. Data shows how SIPCA has grown over the years: 283 participatns in 2016, almost double the number of participants in 2012. (Sip)
