Dodoma. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) welcomes Italian Cooperation’s loan of €300,000 to support emergency interventions in Tanzania in favour of Burundian refugees. The Italian contribution is a response to the appeal launched by the UNHCR, which calls for a total of $ 63.7 million to assist Burundian refugees for access to health, water, and food supplies and security. The Italian contribution will be used to finance UNHCR activities towards the benefit of disabled people and towards the prevention or relief of psychological trauma derived from gender violence.
