(August 12, 2016) Rioni di Cori Flag Wavers, from the historic town of Cori in the province of Frosinone, celebrate their 50th anniversary in Hungary. The Flag Wavers are on tour representing Italy and Cori flag folklore at the 16th Gyöngy International Folk-Dance Festival of Gyöngyös until August 14 at the base of Mount Mátra. With them are other international groups from Argentina, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Russia, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey in addition to local Hungarian groups. On August 15, the Rioni di Cori will reach the city of Debrecen where they will be the protagonists at Virágkarnevál (Carnival of Flowers), the most important Hungarian carnival. The main streets of Hungary’s second city will be animated from morning until evening with floats decorated with colourful flower arrangement. This accompanies numerous other artists exhibiting along the parade, giving the public unforgettable shows. (Red)
