(August 18, 2016) The Carabinieri Band performs in Moscow as part of a concert organized by our Embassy in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture. The concert will be held on August 24 (Helikon-Opera, from 19 to 20) and will consist of a program of symphonic music and music from soundtracks of Italian film composers, as well as a tribute to Russian music. The Carabinieri Band is known throughout the world for the variety of its repertoire, for the formal perfection of its performances and the charm aroused by its players, with their beautiful uniforms, the magnificent composure, the deep musical vocation. From July 1 2001 the Band is conducted by Maestro Massimo Martinelli. Today, with its 102 musicians, recruited and selected through public competitions, the Carabinieri Band is a complex structure capable of interpreting the most celebrated compositions. (Red)
