(30 August 2016) After the summer break, the “Magic box” events at the Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta resume with Vicenza and Palladian Villas. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 13 September at 18:30. The conference speaker will be Federico Tamiozzo. Vicenza is one of the most beautiful places in the Veneto region. A beautiful city, full of palaces, mansions, churches and monuments. “Vicenza” is synonymous of Andrea di Pietro della Gondola, also known as Palladio, a globally admired architect. In the sixteenth century, Andrea Palladio formed a specific kind of Venetian villa, identified precisely as the Palladian Villa. In 1996, Vicenza and the 24 villas designed by Palladio throughout the Veneto region – of which 16 located in the province of Vicenza – have received UNESCO recognition and have been included in the list of World Heritage List.
