Brussels. Vice President Antonio Tajan and Vice President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, along with a delegation of Italian MEPs, met with the Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Dario Scannpieco and the President of the Marche Region, Luca Ceriscioli to talk about support and assistance to the areas affected by the earthquake and access to several European funds. The MEPs guaranteed their full cooperation in the activation of a solidarity fund for natural disasters. The meeting concluded with Italian MEPs effort to create a system for the European Parliament along with other MEPs from other earthquake-prone countries in order to favour the utilisation of anti-seismic certification of buildings.
