(September 27, 2016) From the prisons of Kerala to confinement in a container of the NATO base in Herat, by the treacherous Balkan paths to the rooms of the foreign ministry. Old and new stories related to peacekeeping and international diplomacy told by Andrea Angeli in his book “Kabul – Rome. Round trip (via Delhi)”(Rubbettino, 2016). The author will present the volume on October 6 at 19 at the ENIT events hall in Frankfurt as part of the meetings cycle “A book a month” organized by the General Consulate of the German city. Journalist Danilo Taino, Berlin correspondent of Corriere della Sera, will host the event. “Kabul – Rome” recounts the career of an international civil servant: a glimpse of life at the center of controversial events that have marked our recent history and which has not yet been clarified. At its center the obscure story of the two italian marines in India, to which the book gives some answers. (Red)
