(October 6th, 2016) has just returned from a successful tour in Japan, for a project of vast proportions and use of technical and artistic workers, but the Teatro Comunale di Bologna does not stops and leave for Mexico – for the first time in its history – to participate at the forty-fourth edition of Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato Friday on October 7th, one of the most popular events in America. In this place of great charm, listed as a Unesco World Heritage List, the Teatro felsineo takes part in the celebrations of the 400 years since the death of Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616), the celebrated author of the novel “Don Quixote of La Mancha “, one of the masterpieces of world literature. Teatro Comunale, represented by a group of twenty-seven items including cast, orchestra, technicians and staff, has chosen to propose on this occasion a diptych strongly linked to the history of the city of Bologna: the interludes “The Music Teacher” and Giovanni Battista Martini’s “Don Quixote “. With these two interludes Teatro Comunale di Bologn, had already starred in 2013 in Japan in Yokohama and Kyoto – in the splendid setting of the Kiyomizu temple – and in 2014 in Macau for the twenty-eighth International Festival of Music in Dom Pedro V Theatre, a small architectural jewel built by Portuguese in 1860.
