Hamburg – Thursday, October 13 at 19 the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg continues the journey in contemporary Italy in the footsteps of Goethe with the film “Caterina in the Big City”. With the story of 13 years old Caterina, who after moving to Rome meets a world completely foreign to her, the director Paolo Virzi has managed to create a careful analysis of society. He takes the viewer around the capital, captures the people who live there, portrays the ambitious Italian lower middle-class and displays the Italian political spectrum through the universe of Italian teenagers.
