(October 13, 2016) The language of Dante star in Turkey. The Italian Embassy in Ankara participated in the sixteenth week of the Italian language in the world (October 17 to 23), which this year will be dedicated to the theme “The Italian and creativity: brands and costumes, fashion and design”. The Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation, the University of Ankara, Bilkent University, Baskent University, Gazi University and the Museum of the Italian brand (MUMIT), has organized a series of events to promote Italian as a major classical and contemporary culture language. The program provides a full calendar of cultural events dedicated to the events of Italian creativity in different fields: it will range from conferences of the designer Giulio Cappellini and architect Fabio Reinhart to seminars on literature and Italian language, from the presentation of the exhibition on the evolution of some brands drawn from the collection of the Museum of Italian brands (MUMIT) to the screening of films and documentaries of new Italian directors. It will also provide opportunities for creativity in the kitchen with the chef’s Daniel Evangelista workshop. As usual, the week will host a big musical event, with a concert by the mezzo soprano Chiara Mainese and Baritone Berkan Akinci, accompanied by Orkestra Akademik Baskent conducted by Orhun Orhon. It begins on October 17 at 10.30 at the Center for Research and Documentation European Union (ATAUM) of the University of Ankara, with greetings by Ambassador Luigi Mattiolo. (Red)
