(October 27, 2016) Transfering to Mozambique the Emilia-Romagna experience and model in vocational training and tertiary education and the development of local rural communities. This, and more, was discussed this morning in Bologna. That between the Emilia Romagna and the African country is, in fact, a concrete collaboration and demonstrates the encounter that took place in the Region between a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Mozambique, Oswaldo Petersburgo, and regional assessor of Agriculture, Simona Caselli, and the assessor of School and vocational Training, Patrizio Bianchi. The visit comes a few days after the conclusion of a mission to South Africa and Mozambique of the Region (along with representatives of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, regional companies and Cephas Onlus of Bologna). “Mozambique is for us an important collaboration area for the coming years”, said Caselli remembering the project at the center of the mission, ” Africa Hand Project “, made by Cephas, and with the collaboration of several institutions and business associations, including Granarolo. “The project is designed in particular- added the assessor- to strengthen the dairy chain in the District of Beira, from production to distribution of products, and involves several hundred farmers and a local cooperative, with an effect on the quality of life of some thousands of people “.
