(1 November, 2016) The objectives of the economic and institutional mission of Friuli Venezia Giulia to Astana, Kazakhstan on November 3rd are to promote the entire Friuli Venezia Giulia system launching important collaborations in the fields of university, research and the economy in order to support Italy’s export to one of the most dynamic countries in the Caucasus also in light of the organisation of the 2017 Expo. The delegation, guided by the President of the region, Debora Serracchiani, has a series of meetings with top officials from Kazakh institutions on the agenda. A Memorandum of understanding is schedule to be signed between the Mayor of Astana, Aset Issekeshev. Another agreement that will be signed over the course of the day, and that is this time under the form of a protocol agreement is the one between Finest SPA and Astana Innnovations, a public entity that deals with applied innovation and technology towards the development of Astana. In regards to learning and research, Kazguu University of Astana will seal an agreement with the University of Trieste on Thursday. (Red)
