Dhaka – Growing interchange of Lombardy with Bangladesh in the first six months of 2016 recording a + 11.5% in one year and reaching almost 147 million of import-export in six months. The positive trend is driven by exports which grew by 19.8%, against a national average of 14.1% showing peaks of + 272% in Mantua, + 181% to + 77% in Cremona and Pavia. More than a third Lombard interchange focuses in Milan (37.1%) and over a quarter in Bergamo (27%) while Brescia and Varese weigh about 10% each. Lombardy exports mainly machinery in Bangladesh (35 million euro in six months on 62 of total exports) and chemical products while imports almost exclusively textile products, apparel and accessories (82 million in six months on 85 of total imports). It emerges from an evaluation of the Milan Chamber of Commerce on ISTAT figures in the first six months of 2016 and 2015. (9Colonne)
