(December 19, 2016) On December 20 at the end of a year with busy schedule of events in Bratislava it will be presented the latest issue of the journal Vlna entirely dedicated to contemporary Italian culture. The event – organized by the Italian Institute of Culture of the Slovak capital – will take place at the Café Berlinka (18-21 hours). “It is with great enthusiasm that I received a few months ago by Peter Sulej the proposal to create a special issue devoted entirely to some interesting aspects of contemporary Italian culture – explains the director of the IIC, Antonia Grande – Finally the endevour has come to fruition and the readers of this edition of Vlna can therefore keep abreast of the most unique emerging news in the world of art (Zimei Foundation, Foundation Mora Greek), cinema (Ferzan Ozpetek, Paolo Sorrentino), dance (Silvia Gribaudi), literature (Elena Ferrante, Umberto Eco), music (Stefano Giannotti), poetry (Michele Zaffarano), theater (Emma Dante) and find that the Italian cultural landscape is very rich in ideas and innovations. This research is a collective work of many operators who for years collaborated with foundations, museums, festivals, exhibitions and shows and closely followed the Italian art scene. I hope that it is not only a recognition of the existing, but also that it could serve as a stimulus for future ambitious collaborative projects between Italy and Slovakia “. (Red)
