(December 27, 2016) 2017 starts with art in Cairo. In fact, two temporary exhibitions by the Italian Institute of culture will still be open in January. The first, which will be held until January 8 at the IIC Gallery, is “Alessandro and Tatiana Monti, Italian design of Egyptian textiles”, an exhibition that covers 60 years of Italian creativity. It is a unique chance to see original drawings and sketches of the famous textile designer of Alexandria. The second is “from rags to riches”, an exhibition of works of art made with recycled materials by the Mashrabia gallery, Cairo, which will open until January 20 at the Cooperation Office of the Embassy of Switzerland.
