(29 December, 2016) Rio de Janeiro is the first city in the world to be completely online thanks to none other but ILoveRio.com. A young Italian, Riccardo Giovani, who combined his passion for photography and his business acumen, reconstructed the entire city of Rio de Janeiro online. Rio is now the first city to have been entirely digitally reconstructed. I Love Rio started 10 years ago when Riccardo moved to Rio de Janeiro after graduating in economics and engineering in Boston. He immediately fell in love with the city so much so that he decided to make it accessible to its citizens and tourists. There are a total of 25,000 pages written in English that document everything there is to know about Rio’s history and culture with the aid of photographs and safety and travel tips.
