(January 2, 2017) A new year starting in the sign of Italian art that of the Italian Institute of Culture in Santiago de Chile. On January 3, at 20.30 will open the exhibition “BuscándoME”, an introspective photographic journey of the young Italian artist Nerina Toci . The exhibition, curated by art historian Katy Ferrante, arrived in Chile thanks to artistic residence program Sinopsis Australis, directed by Chiara Mambro, and is organized by the IIC of Santiago and the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with Sinopsis Australis. “Entering the works of Nerina Toci – explains the curator – means accepting their contradictions, suffer their torment, recline on their soft and torturing forms with hidden bumps, life instincts and death instincts, the wind blowing and the sun that tames. An intimate journey in search of the intimate thought of the artist. A journey that begins as an innocent voyeuristic experience and ends with an unexpected insight of the viewer.” (PO / Red)
